Accolades from previous release:
Outstanding, Jeb Dunnuck: Another Cabernet Sauvignon-dominated wine, the 2016 Derby Day handled the elevage admirably and the oak is nicely integrated with lots of spice, currants, tobacco, cedarwood, and chocolate laced aromatics as well as full-bodied richness and depth on the palate. it offers ripe and velvety tannins, plenty of concentration, solid overall balance and some vanilla oak on the finish. Drink this pleasure-bent well-made Cabernet over the coming 7-8 years. 91 Points. (May 2021)
Outstanding, Jeb Dunnuck: The 2015 Race Day Cabernet Sauvignon is certainly the standout here, offering a juicy, lively, medium to full-bodied style as well as loads of cassis, charcoal, chocolate and graphite aromas and flavors. Nicely textured, balanced, and just a terrific, even outstanding red, it's going to evolve nicely for 8-10 years. 90 Points. (April 2020)
